Chomp 'N' Cheeky
Patch Notes
Version: v0.60-alphaPatch Notes

Comments:
Sorry, it has taken so long but it was worth the wait. I have had to adjust my priorities so that we can incorporate additional types of enemies to the game. I have learned a lot about families and how to incorporate multiple enemies of different types and because of their new effects, it was causing a lot of bugs and incapability in the gameplay so a majority of this time has been spent on smoothing the game out so everything works. I have also been working on Secret Runes as well to be added to the game. Most of them are done, but I am not showing you yet. One of them is not finished, so it will be released in the next version. I am also hoping to get another 10 levels completed so we can get this game moving along to the finish line a bit faster than it has been lately. I am sure this is possible now because, with the different types of enemies out of the way (mostly), it should be mostly easy to finish this project form here. This version introduces real complexity. I have placed all three new enemies in level 1. I have also placed a transparency power up as well and the hammer is still there. The new enemies will only appear on level 1 so please test the game out and use the bug report form to report bugs that you run into.
Changelog:
NEW:
1) Dash - One of Chomp's best friends. Dash does not like the taste of bread. Instead, he prefers to eat smiley faces so he will charge up and go full pelt at Cheeky so watch out for this. Dash comes out of a burrow in the ground which you can move over.
2) Sticky - Another one of Chomp's best friends. Sticky comes out of pipes and has an extendable tongue. Watch out for this because he will use it to immobilise Cheeky then use his tongue to pull himself towards Cheeky for a whole meal. Unlike Dash, Sticky will also eat bread as Chomp does. You can still use Cheeky's Hammer to defend yourself if Sticky catches you with his tongue.
3) Switch - Yet again, another one of Chomp's best friends. You will need to be careful more than ever when dealing with Switch. He is a camouflaging shapeshifter and has the ability to change his physical appearance. He can trick you by shaping into objects that you might like to collect or that you might find unsuspecting. Sometimes he chooses to camouflage into his surroundings which will make it very difficult for you to see him. He will not eat bread while camouflaged but in order to attack, he will need to shift back into his real form. Similar to Sticky, Switch also has a tongue but instead of pulling himself to Cheeky, he will pull cheeky to him for a meal. Switch will eat bread for a while until he decides to camouflage or shapeshift.
4) Secret Runes - Secret runes have been introduced but you may not see them yet, they are in the background and will likely become available next release.
MODIFY:
1) Bug report minimum character requirement - Players will be required to enter a minimum amount of characters before submitting a bug report.
2) Capability with multiple enemy characters - The game now works with multiple enemy characters.
FIX:
1) Fixed jerky movement with the basic clam model - Movement with all characters should be much smoother now.
2) Fixed an inconsistency between character speeds - Characters across all models will have the same movement speed unless an ability is given that changes this.
3) Fixed lives being reset to 3 at the start of the next level - Live count will now be remembered.
4) Fixed misalignment of the bug report window not displaying all information text - Players can now read all of the information and is no longer cut off.
5) Fixed Transparency PowerUp preventing Cheeky from Moving - Cheeky was not able to move after collecting the transparency power up. This is now fixed.
6) Fixed Post-Transparency Power allowing Cheeky to go through obstacles - Cheeky can no longer go through obstacles after transparency power up has expired.
Next in development:
1) Secret Runes to every level
2) More bug fixes
3) There may be a new section of levels in the next release.
