Chomp 'N' Cheeky
Patch Notes
Version: v1.2.0-alphaPatch Notes
Date: 21/07/2019
Comments:
With help pop-ups and the lolly packet placed in the game, I believe players are responding a lot better to the game which is good to see. But, just providing one time pop-ups for everything you encounter is not enough in my books, especially if you're a new player.
So, I thought the next best step was to create a help directory, but first I needed a landing window for multiple options, so instead of just opening the bug report form when clicking on the blue question mark, you will be presented with an in-game menu screen with several options:

- Help Directory: Allows you to view all help information in the game. This is in addition to the pop-ups that new players will get when first opening the game (even though the game cannot remember you after you close it yet, save features will come in the future).
- Bug Report: Allows you to open the bug report windows as you could before when you clicked the blue question mark.
- Main Menu: Enables you to return to the main menu from the game.
- Return to Game: Will resume the game as normal.
Note: Opening the game menu will pause the game.
Additionally, we have introduced a way to pause the game by pressing the P key on your keyboard, so unless you have a window up that is already pausing the game, you will be able to pause it.
Amongst all that, there have been bug fixes as well.
I have also decided in spite what I said before in regards to improving his AI to aim the bread to not enhance his AI with that because the player now has the lolly dropping mechanic to help influence him as well as get seen by him and dip out of his sight. It's about using your head to influence Chomp to eat the right bread, but we will continue to monitor how the AI is going if we need to come back to this later on. For now, we will continue testing the latest release for more bugs before fixing those and moving onto full version development. This does not mean we will stop adding features here and there. For example, I will introduce a save and loading feature. This will happen later though as content for the game is personally overdue and I need to get the content and boss levels done ready for a graphic designers' involvement.
Another exciting feature is we have introduced progress bars in the bottom left-hand corner for Treasure collected and runes activated progress. You will not longer see a percentage text but the bar will fill up as you progress and the icons next to it will light up when they are all found! So just a bit more juice added in for you!
